Technical features
Double-sided measuring scale
A blade with graduations on both sides allows readings without having to turn the tape measure. A useful solution for measuring in hard-to-reach places or when working with structural components, where the orientation of the blade affects readability.
Accuracy class I
This marking, in accordance with EN 126-1, defines the maximum permissible measuring error. For Class I at a length of 5 m, the error does not exceed ±1.1 mm, making the tool suitable for joinery, fitting and other applications requiring precision.
25 mm nylon blade
The 25 mm width gives the blade stiffness over longer distances, limiting sag during horizontal measurements. The nylon material is resistant to abrasion and flexible, which contributes to durability in workshop conditions.
Rubberised case with clip
The rubberised casing increases resistance to mechanical damage and provides a secure grip. A steel clip allows the tape measure to be attached to a tool belt or pocket, keeping it within easy reach while working.

Accuracy classes of tape measures
The EN 126-1 standard defines three accuracy classes: I, II and III. Class I has the smallest permissible measuring error and is used in professional applications. Class II is the standard for most construction work, and Class III is intended for approximate measurements.
Use and maintenance
Before first use, check the condition of the blade and the retraction mechanism. When working, extend the blade smoothly, avoiding letting the mechanism retract abruptly, which can damage the return spring.
Once a measurement has been taken, the blade can be retracted automatically or by hand, controlling the retraction speed. The locking mechanism allows the blade to be stopped in any position, making it easier to take repeated readings of the same dimension.
The nylon blade should be protected from contact with corrosive substances and sharp edges, which can damage the graduations. If it becomes dirty, the blade can be cleaned with a damp cloth. Storing the tool in a dry place, away from sources of heat, extends its service life.
Accuracy verification
Regular accuracy checks can be carried out by comparing the tape measure against a length standard or another tape measure of confirmed accuracy. The check should cover readings at the beginning, middle and end of the measuring range. Deviations exceeding the standard may result from blade stretch or a damaged mechanism.
