GEKO G70354 Protective Tarpaulin 8x12m – Green, 80g/m²
Versatile polypropylene tarpaulin with a polyethylene coating on both sides. The reinforced edges and aluminium eyelets spaced at 1-metre intervals provide secure fixing and long-lasting protection for surfaces.
Technical features
Layered construction
A polypropylene core coated with polyethylene on both sides. This construction combines mechanical strength with flexibility and resistance to water penetration. The material does not become rigid at low temperatures.
Reinforced hems
Edges protected by a rope woven into the hem. The reinforcement prevents tearing at the points of greatest stress when the tarpaulin is stretched and secured.
Fixing system
Aluminium eyelets spaced every 1 metre along all edges. Evenly spaced fixing points allow the material to be tensioned uniformly and sit securely over large areas.
80 g/m² weight
This parameter specifies the weight of the material per square metre. A value of 80 g/m² denotes a medium thickness – sufficient to protect against rain and sun while remaining flexible and easy to fold.

Use and care
Securing
When stretching large tarpaulins, tension the material evenly using the eyelets spaced every 1 metre. Securing at several points at once prevents stress from being distributed unevenly. Use ropes, straps or hooks suited to the load.
Cleaning
The polyethylene surface makes it easy to remove dirt with water and a mild detergent. Before folding the tarpaulin away for an extended period, dry it to prevent mould developing in the folds.
Storage
After use, fold or roll the tarpaulin and store it in a dry place away from sharp objects. Avoid prolonged exposure to direct UV when not in use – despite the material's resistance, continuous exposure shortens its service life.
