Adjustable 1/4" drive torque wrench designed for the controlled tightening of threaded fasteners within a torque range of 5 to 25 Nm. Fitted with a mechanism that signals the set torque both audibly and tactilely.
The range covers the typical tightening torques for small mechanical components, electronics, bicycle components and small automotive fasteners. One newton metre (Nm) corresponds to a force of 1 newton applied to a lever arm of 1 metre.
A standard 6.35 mm square drive compatible with 1/4" sockets, extensions and adaptors. Used in precision tools for work requiring torque control on small-diameter bolts.
An audible signal (a click) and a tactile signal (a perceptible release of the mechanism) indicate that the set torque has been reached. This prevents over-tightening of the joint and damage to the thread or components.
Allows operation in the clockwise (tightening) and anticlockwise (loosening) directions. In loosening mode the wrench does not measure torque — a useful function for dismantling without having to change tools.

Turning the adjustment knob on the handle changes the torque setting within the 5-25 Nm range. The scale on the wrench body shows the currently set value. Once the set torque is reached, the mechanism triggers an audible and tactile signal — tightening should then be stopped.
The wrench works with all sockets and accessories fitted with a 1/4" (6.35 mm) drive. When selecting sockets, check that their size matches the bolt or nut. Typical 1/4" socket sizes: 4-14 mm.
Before first use, check that the Click & Snap mechanism works by setting several different torque values and testing it on a test joint. After use, the wrench should be set to the lowest torque value in order to relieve the internal spring.
The wrench should be stored in the supplied case, in a dry place. The wrench must not be used as an ordinary socket wrench without setting the torque, or as a lever to loosen seized joints — this can damage the measuring mechanism.
Periodic calibration of the torque wrench (recommended every 12 months under intensive use, or every 5000 cycles) ensures measurement accuracy. Calibration is carried out by specialist laboratories or measuring tool service centres.
