Hand-operated upholstery staple gun for securing upholstery, insulation and finishing materials. The YT-7007 model takes staples from 4 to 14 mm long and features adjustable impact force.
The staple gun takes staples from 4 to 14 mm long. Shorter 4-6 mm staples are used for thin fabrics and paper, medium 8-10 mm staples for standard upholstery, and longer 12-14 mm staples for thicker materials such as leather or multi-layer fabrics. The ability to choose the staple length allows precise matching to the thickness of the material being joined.
The striker spring tension adjustment mechanism lets you match the impact energy to the type of base material. For soft or thin materials, a lower force is used to avoid damaging the fabric. For hard wood or thick layers of material, the force is increased for reliable staple penetration. Adjustment is made with a knob or lever on the body of the staple gun.
The standard 0.7 mm wire thickness provides a balance between joint strength and ease of penetration. Staples of this thickness are compatible with the standard upholstery staple magazines available on the market. A thickness of 0.7 mm is sufficient for most upholstery and decorative applications.
The YT-7007 model works with YATO staples in the following codes: YT-7051, YT-7052, YT-7053, YT-7054, YT-7055. Each code corresponds to a specific staple length. Using staples that meet the manufacturer's recommendations ensures correct operation of the mechanism and the durability of the tool. Staples should be selected according to the thickness of the material being joined.

The staple length should match the thickness of the material being joined plus around 4-6 mm of allowance for penetration into the base. For a single layer of fabric on wood, 6-8 mm staples are sufficient. For upholstery with a foam layer, 10-14 mm staples should be used. Staples that are too short will not provide a durable joint, while those that are too long may pass right through the material or stick out the other side.
Before starting work, load the correct staple magazine for the thickness of the material being joined. The magazine is inserted from underneath or from the rear of the staple gun, following the markings on the body. Once loaded, set the impact force - lower for soft materials, higher for hard ones.
When stapling, hold the staple gun at right angles to the surface and press it against the material. Pressing the trigger activates the striker mechanism, which drives the staple in. After each shot, the staple gun automatically feeds the next staple from the magazine. Regularly cleaning dust and material debris from the magazine chamber ensures smooth staple feeding.
If a staple jams, release the mechanism as instructed, remove the jammed staple and check that the magazine is loaded correctly. Do not strike the staple gun against hard surfaces or use it as a hammer. Storing it in a dry place prevents corrosion of the mechanism.
