VOREL 61384 Torx T27 × 100 mm Security Screwdriver
A precision Torx T27 screwdriver with a security tip, designed for centre-pin screws. CrV chrome vanadium steel provides wear resistance, while the magnetised tip makes it easier to work with small fasteners.
Technical features of the Torx Security screwdriver
Torx Security T27 tip
The star-shaped profile with a centre hole works with tamper-resistant screws used in electronics, domestic appliances and security systems. The T27 marking indicates the profile size – the stated diameter is approximately 2.7 mm.
CrV chrome vanadium steel
The CrV alloy has a hardness of 52–58 HRC, which provides resistance to twisting and wear. The addition of vanadium increases the fatigue strength of the blade under repeated use.
Magnetised satin tip
The sandblasted satin finish reduces the risk of slipping out of the screw head. The magnetised tip makes it easier to hold small screws when driving them in hard-to-reach places.
100 mm blade
The 100 mm length allows work in recesses and harder-to-reach assembly points. It is sufficient for most applications in electronics servicing and precision mechanics.

How does Torx Security differ from standard Torx?
The Security profile has a centre pin in the tip, which fits into the hole in the middle of a tamper-resistant screw. A standard Torx screwdriver will not work with this type of screw. Security screws are used in devices that should not be opened by unauthorised persons – this requires a specialist tool.
Use and maintenance
Before use, check that the T27 size matches the screw – a tip that is too small or too large will damage the profile. The screwdriver should be held perpendicular to the screw surface so that the force is distributed evenly across all edges of the profile.
After use, it is worth cleaning the tip of any contamination and checking the state of the magnetisation. CrV steel is corrosion-resistant, but prolonged contact with moisture can lead to rust. Storing the tool in a dry place extends its service life.
