YATO YT-2753 Torx Security Screwdriver T27 x 100 mm
A screwdriver with a Torx Security T27 tip, designed for work on tamper-proof screws fitted with a central pin. The 100 mm shaft provides access to fasteners mounted deep inside recesses. The tip is made from SVCM55 steel, which offers increased hardness and wear resistance.
Technical features of the Torx Security screwdriver
Torx Security tip with centre hole
A star-shaped profile with a central hole that allows work on tamper-proof screws fitted with a pin. The Torx system transfers torque better than standard cross-head tips, minimising the risk of damaging the screw recess. The T27 marking denotes the profile size.
SVCM55 tool steel
The tip material has an increased chromium, vanadium and molybdenum content. It delivers a working hardness of 56-60 HRC, which translates into resistance to abrasion and deformation when working on tightly tightened fasteners.
100 mm shaft
The extended shaft provides access to screws fitted in deep recesses, mounting holes and hard-to-reach places. This length works well for work on electronic hardware, equipment housings and vehicle underbody components.
Ergonomic handle with non-slip coating

Difference between Torx and Torx Security
A standard Torx profile has a six-pointed star shape. The Security (TR) version also has a central pin, which prevents the use of an ordinary Torx screwdriver. A Security screwdriver has a hole in the tip that clears the tamper-proof pin. Screws with a Torx Security profile are used where the manufacturer wants to restrict unauthorised dismantling.
Use and maintenance
Before starting work, check that the T27 tip size matches the screw recess. A poorly fitting screwdriver can damage the screw profile or its own tip. When tightening, keep the tool perpendicular to the surface, which ensures even distribution of force and minimises profile wear.
After finishing work, clean the tip of dirt and any oil residue. When working in a damp environment, protect the metal parts against corrosion. Store the tool in a dry place, avoiding contact with aggressive chemicals.
Check the condition of the tip regularly - worn edges can lead to damage of the screw recesses. If the tip shows signs of deformation, rounded edges or cracking, take the tool out of use.
