Key features of the Torx T25 Security screwdriver
Torx T25 Security tip with centre hole
The security profile (with hole) allows work with screws protected against unauthorised loosening. The T25 designation specifies the tip size to ISO 10664, suitable for screws with a head diameter of 4.5-5.5 mm.
Chrome vanadium CrV steel
The chrome vanadium alloy gives the shaft increased hardness (typically 52-58 HRC) and resistance to twisting. Surface chrome plating protects against corrosion when working in damp conditions.
Magnetised tip with satin finish
The magnetised tip holds the screw on the end of the screwdriver, making work in hard-to-reach places easier. The satin, sandblasted finish increases friction in the screw head recess.
200 mm shaft for deep holes
The extended shaft provides access to screws located in recesses, mounting holes and gaps between structural components where standard screwdrivers cannot reach.

How to check compatibility with a screw
The T25 tip fits screws marked T25 or TX25. The security profile requires a tip with a centre pin that matches the hole in the screw head. Before use, check that the tip fits into the recess without play - play indicates the wrong size and can lead to damage to the screw.
Use and maintenance
When working, apply axial pressure to the screwdriver against the screw to prevent the tip from slipping out of the recess. The Torx profile transfers torque to the sides of the recess rather than to the corners as with cross-head profiles, which reduces the risk of damaging the screw head.
The tip should be cleaned periodically of dirt and material residue that can reduce grip in the recess. The CrV steel shaft is resistant to corrosion, but after working in damp conditions it is advisable to wipe the tip with a dry cloth.
The magnetisation of the tip lasts for the entire service life of the tool. If the magnetisation weakens, it can be restored using a neodymium magnet.
