A metal hand rivet gun for blind rivets in four standard diameters. The tool is designed for making durable joints in metal and composite components in the workshop, during structural assembly and in repair work.
The rivet gun handles four standard rivet diameters: 2.4 mm, 3.2 mm, 4.0 mm and 4.8 mm. This range covers the most popular sizes used in assembly and repair work, removing the need to keep several tools on hand.
The tool works with rivets made of steel, stainless steel and aluminium. This makes it possible to rivet both structural components requiring high strength and corrosion-resistant or lightweight assemblies.
The rivet gun body is made of metal, which gives the mechanism rigidity during clamping and resistance to deformation under repeated use. The metal construction extends tool life in intensive workshop use.
The handles are covered with a rubber grip that stops the tool slipping from the hand during clamping. The rubber surface reduces pressure on the hands when making a large number of riveted joints during the working day.

The rivet diameter is chosen according to the thickness of the materials being joined. For sheet up to 1.5 mm thick, use 2.4-3.2 mm rivets; for thicker materials (up to 3 mm), use 4.0 mm rivets; and for structural joints above 3 mm, use 4.8 mm rivets. The rivet length should match the combined thickness of the parts being joined plus 1.5 times the rivet diameter.
Before riveting, drill a hole 0.1-0.2 mm larger in diameter than the rivet body. A hole that is too tight makes it difficult to insert the rivet and can damage the corrosion-protective coating, while one that is too loose weakens the joint. The edges of the hole should be deburred.
After finishing work, remove the broken rivet mandrels from the spent mandrel collection chamber. The clamping mechanism needs periodic lubrication with light machine oil. In intensive use, the gripping jaws should be replaced once wear is noticed or mandrels become difficult to snap.
