Use and maintenance
Correct use
Before use, make sure the rim surface is clean and free of grease. Run the roller from the centre of the weight towards the edges, applying even pressure. Avoid excessive force, which may distort the weight or damage the adhesive layer.
Maintenance
After use, clean residual adhesive and dirt from the rubber roller. Store in a dry place, away from heat sources and sharp objects. Check the condition of the roller regularly – damage to or hardening of the rubber may reduce the effectiveness of the pressure applied.
Practical tips
Working temperature affects how well the adhesive bonds – weights are best fitted at room temperature (18-25°C). Too low a temperature reduces the adhesive properties of the tape, while too high a temperature may cause the adhesive to cure prematurely before the weight is pressed into place.
