Woodworking F-Clamp 50 x 200 mm GEKO PROFI G29971

This woodworking F-clamp is designed for holding and clamping workpieces during gluing, assembly and machining. Its construction, based on a galvanised steel bar with cast iron jaws, provides a secure grip on workpieces up to 50 mm wide with a jaw opening of up to 200 mm.

Technical features

Galvanised steel bar

The bar is made from galvanised steel, which resists corrosion and offers lasting mechanical strength. The zinc coating protects the metal from rust during work in damp workshop conditions.

Cast iron jaws with protective pads

Cast iron jaws resist deformation under load. Plastic pads on the clamping faces protect the workpiece from mechanical damage and scratches.

Sliding pressure plate

The sliding plate mechanism lets you adjust the jaw opening smoothly to match the thickness of the workpiece. It allows quick repositioning without having to turn the clamping screw repeatedly.

Working dimensions 50 x 200 mm

The 50 mm jaw width determines the maximum contact area with the material. A 200 mm opening allows workpieces from a few millimetres to 20 cm thick to be clamped, which is sufficient for most woodworking and assembly tasks.

Applications

  • Gluing wooden components – boards, battens, panels
  • Furniture assembly – joining carcasses, fronts and shelves
  • Woodworking – stabilising workpieces during sanding and routing
  • Welding and soldering – holding metal profiles
  • Bonding boards – plywood, MDF, chipboard
  • Model making – building wooden structures
  • Furniture restoration – clamping parts during repairs
  • Frame assembly – joining the corners of picture frames

How to choose the right F-clamp

A 200 mm opening works well for joining components of medium thickness. The 50 mm jaw width provides sufficient clamping area for typical woodworking parts. When gluing thinner components (up to 10 mm), it is worth using spacer pads to distribute the pressure evenly. For work requiring a wider opening or greater clamping force, consider a clamp with larger dimensions.

Use and maintenance

Before use, check that the clamping faces are clean – leftover glue or sawdust can leave marks on the material. The plastic pads should be cleaned periodically with a damp cloth. To keep the adjustment smooth, the clamping screw mechanism should be greased with technical grease every few months of intensive use.

Store the galvanised bar in a dry place. If rust spots appear, they can be removed with a wire brush and the area protected with an anti-corrosion spray. Do not exceed the maximum jaw opening or apply excessive force to the clamping screw – this may deform the mechanism.
