L-shaped hex key with a ball end, designed for fitting and removing fasteners with a hexagonal socket. The extended arm delivers greater torque and allows recessed screws to be reached, while the ball end enables work at an angle.
The ball-shaped tip allows screws to be tightened at an angle of up to 30° to the axis of the screw. This is useful in areas with limited access where the key cannot be positioned perpendicular to the surface.
The longer arm of the key increases leverage, which translates into greater torque with less effort. It also allows screws set deep in mounting holes or recesses to be reached.
CrV offers greater hardness and wear resistance than standard tool steel. The vanadium content improves mechanical strength, while the chromium increases corrosion resistance.
The key size corresponds to the internal diameter of the screw's hexagonal socket. The 3 mm size is used in electronics, precision engineering, sports equipment and furniture with small fasteners.

| Material | Chrome vanadium steel (CrV) |
| Tip type | Ball end |
| Version | Long |
| Shape | L-shaped |
| Maximum working angle | Up to 30° |
Before use, make sure the key size matches the screw socket. A 3.0 mm key should fit into the socket without play and without excessive resistance. A fit that is too loose can damage the socket edges, while one that is too tight will wear the tool.
The hex key should be stored in a dry place, protected from moisture. After use, clean off any dirt and, if necessary, apply a thin film of oil, particularly when the tool is used intensively in conditions where corrosion is a risk.
When working at an angle with the ball end, bear in mind that the torque is lower than when working perpendicular to the screw. For final tightening with full force, use the straight end of the key, keeping the ball end mainly for initial assembly or work in hard-to-reach places.
Do not use extensions or cheater bars, as these can exceed the strength of the key and cause permanent deformation or cracking.
