A professional diagnostic set for detecting leaks in air conditioning systems and for fluorescence inspection. The set comprises a 51 LED UV torch with a 395 nm wavelength and safety glasses meeting European safety standards.
The 395 nm wavelength triggers the fluorescent reaction of the tracer dyes used in air conditioning system diagnostics. A higher number of LEDs provides a wider and more even UV beam, which makes it easier to locate leaks over a larger area in a single pass.
The aluminium housing provides mechanical resistance to drops and scratches during workshop use. Protection class III means power is supplied at a safe low voltage (AA batteries), which eliminates the risk of electric shock. The IP20 rating indicates protection against contact with objects larger than 12.5 mm.
The glasses filter 395 nm UV radiation, protecting the retina from prolonged exposure. They meet European safety standards for safety glasses. The glasses must be worn when working with the UV torch, particularly in enclosed workshop spaces.
3 x AA batteries provide universal power and allow quick replacement on site without the need for charging. Standard alkaline batteries provide several hours of continuous operation. Batteries are not included.

Before starting air conditioning system diagnostics, add UV tracer dye to the system in accordance with the dye manufacturer's instructions. Once the system has been started and the dye has circulated for 10-15 minutes, inspection can begin. Put on the safety glasses before switching on the torch.
Leak detection using UV light is most effective in darkened rooms or after nightfall. In bright daylight, the fluorescence of the tracer dye may be hard to see. It is advisable to carry out the inspection in a workshop where the lighting can be switched off.
After use, wipe the torch with a dry cloth. Do not use solvents or chemical agents to clean the aluminium housing. Remove the batteries if the torch is not going to be used for a longer period. Store the safety glasses in a case or pouch to avoid scratching the lenses.
