The YATO YT-35858 hollow punch is a hand tool designed for cutting 10 mm round holes in soft and semi-hard materials. Its tubular construction with a steel cutting edge allows precise cutting without delaminating the material.
Technical features
Tubular construction with a steel cutting edge
The tube is made from tool steel with a hardened working edge, which keeps its sharpness through repeated use. The cutting edge stays sharp even when cutting materials containing synthetic fibres or bonded leather.
Knurled non-slip handle
The grooved surface of the handle increases friction between the hand and the tool. The knurling prevents the punch from slipping when pressure is applied, which translates into safer operation and greater control over the cutting process.
Side hole for removing cut-out pieces
The side ejection channel makes it easier to remove the cut discs of material from inside the tube. This eliminates the need to unscrew the tool and speeds up work when punching a larger number of holes.
Corrosion protection coating
The blackening process forms a protective layer on the steel surface that slows down oxidation. The anti-corrosion protection extends the tool's service life, particularly when it is stored in conditions of high humidity.

Use and maintenance
How to use
Before starting work, place the material on a hard base (board, cutting mat). Position the punch at right angles to the surface and apply even, rotating pressure. For multi-layer materials, increase the pressure gradually. Once the hole has been punched, remove the cut piece of material through the side ejection hole.
Tool maintenance
After use, remove any material residues from inside the tube and from the cutting edge. Wipe the working surface with a dry cloth. With intensive use, periodically oil the cutting edge with machine oil. Store the tool in a dry place, protected from impacts that could damage the blade.
