Yato YT-73975 Adjustable Safety Helmet
An industrial safety helmet made from ABS, designed to protect the head in the workplace. This model is fitted with a six-point textile harness with headband adjustment and a shell ventilation system.
Technical characteristics of the safety helmet
ABS shell
Acrylonitrile butadiene styrene is a thermoplastic with high mechanical strength and impact resistance. The material has a rigid structure that effectively distributes impact energy, protecting the head from injury. ABS retains its properties between -20°C and +50°C, so the helmet can be used in a range of climatic conditions.
Universal size adjustment
The 53-64 cm headband adjustment system allows the helmet to be fitted to most users. The quick-adjust mechanism lets you change the size without taking the helmet off. Correct fitting ensures that the harness sits 2-3 cm above the forehead and that the helmet does not shift as the head moves.
Six-point shock-absorbing harness
The six-point design spreads pressure over a larger area of the head, reducing pressure points. The textile webbing with a foam layer lets air circulate between the shell and the head, which matters during many hours of use. The sweatband absorbs perspiration and stops it running down the face.
Shell ventilation system
Ventilation holes in the upper part of the helmet allow air to circulate inside, reducing the build-up of heat and moisture. The design of the openings prevents rainwater from entering the helmet. Ventilation improves thermal comfort when working at elevated temperatures.

Fitting and accessory compatibility
The helmet has side mounting slots for fitting ear defenders. The standard slots are compatible with ear defenders that come with a helmet adapter, including the Yato YT-74624. Fitting the ear defenders requires no tools - the adapter slides into the slots and locks mechanically.
Checking ear defender compatibility
Before buying ear defenders, check that they come with a helmet mounting adapter. Ear defenders with a headband are not compatible with side mounting. The adapter must match the width of the mounting slot in the helmet.
Using and maintaining the safety helmet
Check the condition of the shell before each use - cracks, dents or distortion mean the helmet must be taken out of service. Adjust the harness so that the helmet is stable but does not press on the head. The chin strap should be fastened and adjusted so that two fingers fit between the strap and the chin.
Clean the helmet with water and a mild detergent. Do not use organic solvents, petrol or acetone - these substances degrade ABS. After washing, leave the helmet to dry at room temperature, away from heat sources.
Service life and replacement
Replace the helmet after any severe impact, even if there is no visible damage - the structure of the plastic may have been weakened. Under normal use, replacement is recommended every 3-5 years, because the material ages under UV radiation and temperature changes.
Colour coding of safety helmets
A green helmet is widely used in colour-coding systems for worker roles on construction sites and in industrial plants. Green is usually assigned to health and safety inspectors, safety officers and those responsible for overseeing compliance with safety procedures.
The colour system is not standardised by any norm but is based on industry practice. Before introducing it, agree an internal colour code for the organisation or site to avoid confusion about individual workers' roles.
