YATO YT-75465 Hand Scraper 40 mm
Hand scraper with a double-sided steel blade, designed for removing paint and lacquer coatings and for levelling wooden and metal surfaces. The tool has a polypropylene body and an ergonomic TPR handle.

Double-sided steel blade
The blade can be turned through 180 degrees, making both cutting edges usable. Once one side has blunted, simply turn the blade over to carry on working without replacing it. This extends the tool's service life and lowers running costs.
TPR handle
TPR (thermoplastic rubber) is a material that combines the properties of rubber and plastic. It provides a non-slip grip even with damp hands, absorbs vibration during work and reduces hand fatigue during prolonged use.
Polypropylene body

Use and maintenance
Correct use
Hold the scraper at an angle of 30-45 degrees to the surface and apply even pressure. When removing paint coatings, work in the direction of the wood grain. With thick layers of paint it is worth making several passes with gradually increasing pressure rather than trying to remove the whole layer in one go.
Blade maintenance
After finishing work, clean paint and lacquer residue off the blade with solvent. Regular sharpening of the blade with a file or whetstone keeps the tool effective. If the blade becomes significantly blunt, it can be replaced with a new one, or the second side of the double-sided blade used first.
