A cylindrical shank-mounted flap wheel designed for working on hard-to-reach, concave and rounded surfaces. The flap construction provides flexibility when sanding components with complex shapes.
P80 grit (180-200 µm) is used for removing medium-sized imperfections, preparing surfaces for painting and smoothing after work with coarser abrasive wheels. It leaves visible but even sanding scratches.
Abrasive flaps arranged radially around the shank provide flexibility during use. They allow access to recesses, holes and irregularly shaped surfaces without the risk of damaging the material.
The synthetic resin bonds the abrasive grains and provides tool durability when working with metal and wooden materials. It is resistant to the heat generated during sanding at high speeds.
Standard shank diameter compatible with drill chucks, die grinders and mini grinders. Fits directly in a drill chuck or quick-release chuck.
| Model | G78732 |
| Wheel diameter | 30 mm |
| Wheel height | 30 mm |
| Shank diameter | 6 mm |
| Grit | P80 (medium) |
| Bond | Synthetic resin |
| Maximum speed | 25,400 rpm |
| Construction type | Cylindrical flap |
The maximum permissible speed is 25,400 rpm. For soft materials (wood, aluminium), lower speeds are recommended (10,000-15,000 rpm); for steel and hard metals, full speed can be used. Too low a speed reduces efficiency; too high a speed may overheat the material.
Apply moderate, even pressure. Excessive pressure shortens the life of the wheel, causes the material to overheat and may lead to the tool jamming. The wheel should work under its own weight with a slight addition of force.
Before mounting, check the condition of the shank and the abrasive flaps. A damaged shank can cause runout; worn flaps lose their cutting ability. Make sure the shank is properly secured in the chuck – play can cause the tool to come loose during use.
