A twist drill bit with four cutting edges, designed for drilling 25 mm diameter holes in solid wood and wood-based panels. Fitted with a 1/4" hex shank for compatibility with drill drivers, drills and cordless screwdrivers.
Four cutting edges arranged symmetrically around the axis increase the cutting surface area. This design reduces drilling resistance, minimises the risk of splintering wood fibres at the hole edges and keeps the tool stable during use, eliminating vibration.
The spiral flute, with its specially designed helix angle, clears chips out of the hole and prevents them from compacting. Efficient chip removal reduces friction and overheating of the bit, which extends tool life and keeps the drilled holes clean.
The 1/4" hex shank is the standard fit for cordless power tools. The hexagonal profile stops the bit from turning in the chuck during use, ensuring full torque transfer. Compatible with screwdrivers, drill drivers and impact drivers.
A hardness of HRC 40-45 provides wear resistance while maintaining core flexibility. The hardening process increases the durability of the cutting edges, making it possible to drill hard wood species such as oak, ash and beech without rapid blunting.

The 1/4" hex shank fits standard quick-release chucks on cordless screwdrivers and drills. Before starting work, make sure the power tool has adequate power and torque – for a 25 mm diameter, tools with a minimum output of 500 W, or a minimum torque of 30 Nm in the case of cordless tools, are recommended.
Before drilling, mark the centre of the hole and make a light indentation with a centre punch or a smaller drill bit to stop the bit from slipping. During use, maintain a steady, moderate speed – 800-1200 rpm for hard wood and 1200-1800 rpm for soft wood.
After use, clean the bit of chips and wood dust with a brush or compressed air. The cutting edges can be maintained periodically by light sharpening with a diamond file, keeping the original edge angle. Storing the bit in a dry place prevents corrosion of the steel surface.
Wear safety goggles during drilling to protect against flying chips. The workpiece should be securely clamped in a vice or fixed to the workbench. When drilling through holes, place a backing board under the workpiece to prevent the wood from splintering as the bit breaks through.
