Bimetal jigsaw blade with a titanium nitride (BIM-TiN) coating, designed for cutting non-ferrous metals, steel and hardwood. The bimetal construction combines the flexibility of a spring steel body with the hardness of high-speed steel (HSS) teeth.
A combination of two types of steel: the flexible spring steel body prevents the blade from cracking during use, while the high-speed steel (HSS) teeth provide wear resistance. Laser welding bonds both layers into a durable structure.
The TiN layer, applied by PVD, increases the surface hardness of the teeth to approximately 2400 HV, reduces friction during cutting and protects against corrosion. It stops the cutting edge from losing its temper at the high temperatures generated when cutting metal.
The 90 mm overall length allows the blade to be fitted in standard jigsaws. The 34 mm width provides stable cutting in thicker materials. The 40 mm working length defines the maximum cutting depth in a single pass.
The blade is designed for the YATO YT-82223 jigsaw. Before buying, check the blade shank type on your own jigsaw and the maximum blade width it accepts, as stated in the tool's instructions.

Before buying, check the blade shank type on your jigsaw (universal, quick-release, screw-fit). Check the maximum blade width accepted by the tool – some models take blades up to 32 mm. Make sure the overall blade length meets the jigsaw manufacturer's requirements.
When cutting metal, use lower jigsaw speeds than for wood – this prevents the blade from overheating and the TiN coating from wearing prematurely. When cutting steel, the use of cutting fluids is recommended, as they extend blade life.
After finishing work, clean the blade of swarf and metal dust. Store it in a dry place to prevent the body from corroding. Check the condition of the teeth regularly – blunt or damaged teeth reduce cut quality and increase the load on the jigsaw motor.
Replace the blade when you notice reduced cutting performance, increased vibration, deviation from the cutting line or visible damage to the teeth. Do not use one blade for all materials – dedicated wood and metal blades give better results.
When working with a jigsaw, wear safety goggles, work gloves and ear defenders. Make sure the material is securely clamped. Do not apply excessive pressure to the tool – let the blade cut at its own pace. Disconnect the jigsaw from the mains before changing the blade.
