Professional bolt croppers for cutting steel reinforcement bar up to 16 mm in diameter. A construction tool with interchangeable chrome-molybdenum steel jaws, hardened to 56-61 HRC.
Blades made from Cr-Mo alloy offer increased resistance to wear and deformation. The ability to replace the jaws extends the tool's service life and reduces running costs compared with croppers with non-replaceable blades.
The hardening process delivers a hardness of 56-61 on the Rockwell scale. This hardness ensures precise cutting of steel rods without chipping the cutting edges, while maintaining resistance to brittle fracture.
900 mm handles provide sufficient mechanical leverage, allowing rods up to 16 mm in diameter to be cut with moderate effort. This length represents a compromise between cutting force and working ergonomics.
The design is suited to everyday work with reinforcement bar on construction sites. The jaw geometry prevents the material from slipping during cutting, which is crucial when working with smooth steel rods.

Before starting a cut, make sure the rod diameter does not exceed 16 mm. Attempting to cut thicker rods may damage the jaws or permanently deform the handles. The croppers are intended for structural steel only and are not suitable for cutting stainless or hardened steel.
After use, clean the jaws of any contamination and protect them with a light film of oil. Checking the condition of the blades regularly allows wear to be detected early. If the jaws become noticeably blunt or chipped, fit new ones to restore cutting performance.
Position the rod as close as possible to the pivot axis of the jaws, which minimises the pressure required. Make the cut with a smooth, steady motion, without jerking. For longer rods, support the material to prevent it bending during the cut.
