A cup brush with crimped brass wire, designed for the mechanical cleaning of metal surfaces. Fitted to electric or pneumatic drills and grinders, it removes rust, paint, lacquer and burrs without the risk of damaging the substrate.
Brass wire is softer than steel, which prevents scratching and damage to the surfaces being worked. The crimped structure of the wire increases flexibility and its ability to reach into uneven surfaces.
The 6 mm shank is a standard size compatible with drill chucks, angle grinders fitted with the appropriate collet adaptor and pneumatic tools. It provides a secure hold when working at high speeds.
The 60 mm diameter allows you to work on larger flat surfaces as well as reach into grooves, holes and other hard-to-reach areas where larger tools cannot be used.
A wire diameter of 0.2 mm strikes a balance between cleaning performance and gentleness. Thinner wire adapts better to uneven surfaces and reaches into micro-cavities.

Cup wire brushes operate at speeds of 3,000 to 8,000 rpm, depending on the material being worked and the level of contamination. Higher speeds increase performance but can cause the wire to wear more quickly. It is advisable to start at lower speeds and increase them gradually.
Safety goggles and gloves should be worn when using the brush. Brass wire is soft, but fragments of wire can be released at high speeds. Do not apply excessive pressure to the tool — the brush works effectively under its own weight with light pressure.
Brass brushes are recommended for work on aluminium, copper, brass, bronze and stainless steel, where avoiding scratches is important. They are not suitable for aggressive removal of thick layers of rust from structural steel — steel brushes are a better choice in such cases.
