Brake caliper piston rewind tool set 18-piece GEKO G02540
Universal tool set for retracting and rewinding brake caliper pistons on vehicles with disc brakes. Contains two magnetic presses and 16 adapters dedicated to various vehicle makes and models.
Set features
Two types of press
The set includes a right-hand and a left-hand press, enabling work on pistons with different thread directions. The magnetic mounting keeps the tool stable during use and removes the need to hold it in place.
16 dedicated adapters
Adapters matched to specific brake caliper designs on European, Asian and American vehicles. Each adapter is numbered and assigned to particular vehicle models.
Ratchet compatibility
Adapter #5 allows the set to be connected to a 3/8" ratchet, which makes work easier on pistons that need more force or access in awkward locations.
Various piston diameters
Adapters #8, #9 and #10 are dedicated to GM pistons with diameters of 1-7/8", 2-1/8" and 2-1/2", allowing both standard and larger brake designs to be serviced.

Before starting work, identify the brake caliper design on the vehicle being serviced. Adapters marked (F) are for front brakes, (R) for rear brakes. Some adapters are universal for both axles.

Use and maintenance
Preparing for work
Before retracting the piston, open the brake fluid reservoir or use a fluid extractor to prevent fluid from overflowing. Check the condition of the piston seals – damaged seals require the caliper to be replaced or refurbished.
The choice of adapter depends on the caliper design. Adapters marked F (front) are used on front brakes, R (rear) on rear brakes. Some rear calipers require the piston to be retracted and rotated at the same time – in such cases a left-hand or right-hand press is used, depending on the thread direction.
The magnetic mounting of the press provides a stable connection with the adapter, eliminating the risk of the tool slipping during use. After finishing work, clean the adapters of any brake fluid residue and protect them against corrosion.
Set maintenance
After every use, clean the adapters and presses of brake fluid and other contamination. The press threads should be greased periodically with a technical grease. Store the set in a dry place, in its original carry case.
