Cross-tip drill bit with an SDS Plus shank, designed for drilling into reinforced concrete, calcium silicate and clay brick. Fitted with an X-Tip head made from YG-11C carbide and twin flutes for clearing debris.
The cross-shaped tip geometry increases resistance to mechanical damage on contact with reinforcing bars. YG-11C carbide offers high hardness and wear resistance, which extends tool life during intensive drilling in very hard materials.
The twin-helix design effectively clears concrete dust and debris from the hole while drilling. This prevents the bit from jamming and overheating, which has a direct effect on work efficiency and tool life.
40Cr chrome steel has a low coefficient of thermal expansion, which prevents the shank from seizing in the hammer drill chuck as the tool heats up during use. This material also gives the body the right degree of flexibility, minimising the risk of cracking under impact loads.
The SDS Plus system is the standard for hammer drills up to 5 kg. It has a 10 mm shank diameter and four guide slots. It allows tools to be changed quickly without a chuck key, and transmits both torque and impact energy from the power tool to the drill bit.

The drill bit works with hammer drills fitted with an SDS Plus chuck. Before starting work, check that the power tool has a hammer drilling function – standard drills without hammer action are not suitable for drilling into concrete. The recommended hammer drill power for a 14 mm drill bit is at least 600-800 W.
When drilling into reinforced concrete, use hammer drilling mode and keep the bit at right angles to the surface. If you hit reinforcement, briefly withdraw the bit and start drilling again – this lets the tip cut through the bar without excessive load.
The 180 mm working length determines the maximum hole depth that can be drilled without changing tools. When drilling holes deeper than 100 mm, withdraw the bit at intervals to clear accumulated debris, even if the debris-clearing flutes are working efficiently.
After use, clean the drill bit of concrete dust with compressed air or a brush. The SDS Plus shank should be greased periodically with a dedicated SDS chuck grease, which ensures smooth tool changes and protects against corrosion. Storing the bit in a dry place extends its service life.
