SDS Plus cross-tip drill bit with a four-cutter X-Tip head, designed for drilling into reinforced concrete, calcium silicate brick and clay brick. The set contains 10 drill bits with a 6 mm diameter and an overall length of 210 mm.
The four-cutter geometry increases the contact area with the material, which translates into faster drilling and less tool wear. YG-11C carbide is characterised by increased resistance to abrasion, which extends the service life of the drill bit when working in reinforced concrete. The design of the head minimises the risk of damaging the cutting edge on contact with steel reinforcement.
The twin-flute design ensures efficient transport of concrete dust out of the drilled hole. Effective debris clearance prevents the drill bit from jamming and overheating, which has a direct effect on drilling speed and tool life. This is particularly important when drilling deep holes.
40Cr chrome steel has low thermal expansion, which prevents the shank from expanding during intensive work. This material ensures the dimensional stability of the drill bit even at the high temperatures generated while drilling. These properties eliminate the problem of the drill bit jamming in the SDS-Plus chuck.
The SDS-Plus system allows the drill bit to be fitted and removed without additional tools – simply push the shank into the rotary hammer chuck. The grooves on the shank transfer torque and hammer action from the tool to the drill bit. The SDS-Plus standard is compatible with most light and medium-duty rotary hammers.

The SDS-Plus drill bit works with rotary hammers fitted with an SDS-Plus chuck. Before buying, check the chuck type on your rotary hammer – older models may have an SDS-Max chuck (a larger standard) or a conventional keyed drill chuck. The SDS-Plus system is the standard for rotary hammers with a power output of up to around 1200 W.
Before you start drilling, make sure the drill bit is correctly seated in the SDS-Plus chuck – the characteristic click confirms that the shank is locked. During work, use hammer drilling mode, which is standard when working with concrete and stone materials.
When drilling into reinforced concrete, you may hit reinforcing bars. In this case the four-cutter X-Tip head allows you to continue drilling without damaging the cutting edge, although the process may require more pressure. After work, clean the drill bit of concrete dust, especially the flutes and the SDS-Plus shank.
The working length of 135 mm determines the maximum drilling depth. If deeper holes are needed, a longer drill bit must be used. The 6 mm diameter is typical for fitting 6 mm wall plugs and concrete screws.
