OHV four-stroke petrol engine with a displacement of 196 cm³, designed to power construction and garden machinery. Air-cooled unit with a 20 mm shaft and recoil start.
Technical characteristics
OHV technology (Overhead Valve)
Valves positioned in the cylinder head ensure better fuel combustion and more efficient heat dissipation. This design increases engine durability and reduces fuel consumption compared with side-valve units.
Air cooling
A cooling system that uses airflow around the finned engine components. It eliminates the need for coolants and the associated maintenance, which simplifies operation in the field.
20 mm shaft

Difference between net and maximum power
Net power (6.5 HP) is the parameter defining the actual usable power of the engine during continuous operation. Maximum power (7 HP) is the short-term peak achieved under optimum conditions. When selecting an engine for a machine, net power should be the deciding factor.

Compatibility and installation
Before purchase, check that the engine's mounting dimensions are compatible with the target machine. Key parameters to verify:

Output shaft: 20 mm diameter, length and end type (keyway, thread) — different machines require different shaft lengths.
Mounting hole spacing: the engine base dimensions must match the mounting points on the machine.
Direction of rotation: clockwise as standard (viewed from the shaft side); confirm it matches the equipment requirements.
Exhaust system: silencer position and whether it can be directed to suit the machine design.
Operation and maintenance
A four-stroke engine requires regular engine oil changes. First service after 5 hours of operation (running-in), then every 25–50 hours depending on operating conditions. The air filter should be cleaned every 25 hours, or more often in dusty environments.
Unleaded petrol with a minimum octane rating of 86 RON. The fuel tank should not be filled to the brim — leave around 10% of the volume free for thermal expansion. Fuel older than 30 days may cause starting problems due to evaporation of the light fractions.
Seasonal storage
Before prolonged storage (over 30 days), drain the fuel tank and carburettor by running the engine until all remaining fuel is burnt off. Alternatively, add a fuel stabiliser. Change the engine oil, clean the air filter and protect metal components against corrosion.
