GEKO G81214 Electric Sheep Shears
An electric clipper designed for shearing sheep and other livestock. Fitted with a 550W motor and laser-sharpened hardened steel blades, it delivers efficient performance on large flocks.
Technical features
550W motor with cooling system
The 550W output allows dense wool to be sheared smoothly without the blade stalling. Active air cooling prevents overheating during many hours of work, which matters when shearing larger flocks.
Laser-sharpened hardened steel blades
The blades are made from hardened steel and laser-sharpened to give a precise cutting edge. This technology extends the interval between re-sharpening and reduces the risk of tearing the wool.
2,400 strokes/min stroke rate
The high blade frequency translates into fast, even shearing. This figure specifies how many working strokes the blade makes per minute – the higher the value, the more efficient the work.
85 mm blade width
The wide cutting width covers a larger area in a single pass, shortening the time needed to shear each animal. Particularly useful with wool sheep breeds.

Use and maintenance
Blade lubrication
Regularly lubricating the blades with the oil supplied in the kit keeps the mechanism running smoothly and extends blade life. Lubricate before starting work and every 30–60 minutes during intensive use.
Cleaning after use
After shearing, remove hair and debris with the brush supplied. Regular cleaning prevents wool residue from building up between the blades, which could affect cutting performance.
Blade replacement and sharpening
The kit includes a spanner for replacing the blades yourself. Depending on how intensively the clipper is used, the blades need sharpening or replacing after shearing around 100–200 animals. Blunt blades tear the wool and cause the animal discomfort.
