A 115 mm cutting disc designed for cutting metal with angle grinders. The construction is based on aluminium oxide with a fibreglass-reinforced resin bond, which ensures stability when working with various types of steel and with non-ferrous metals.
Aluminium oxide is characterised by high hardness and resistance to brittle fracture. Abrasive grains made from this material stay sharp longer than standard corundum grains, which translates into cutting efficiency and disc life.
Synthetic resin bonds the abrasive grains and gives the disc the flexibility that is essential when cutting. Fibreglass reinforcement increases the disc's mechanical strength and minimises the risk of cracking during work under load.
Disc thickness affects the width of the cut and the speed of work. A 1.6 mm disc is a compromise between rigidity (cutting stability) and low resistance in the material, which allows efficient cutting without overloading the grinder's motor.
The maximum permissible linear speed defines safe working conditions. A value of 80 m/s at 13,300 rpm meets the standards for 115 mm discs. Exceeding these parameters can damage the disc and create a safety hazard.

The disc fits angle grinders with an M14 spindle thread that take 115 mm discs. Before fitting, check that the grinder's maximum speed does not exceed 13,300 rpm. The tool's maximum speed is given on the rating plate or in the instruction manual.
Inspect the disc before every use – cracks, chips or deformation mean it must not be used. While working, the grinder's guard, safety goggles, gloves and work clothing must be worn. The disc must be tightened in accordance with the tool manufacturer's instructions, without over-tightening, which can cause deformation.
Store discs in a dry place, either flat or hanging, away from sources of moisture and extreme temperatures. Contact with moisture can weaken the resin bond and reduce the disc's strength. Storing them in the original packaging is recommended, or in a way that prevents contact with other tools that could damage the abrasive surface.
