A cobalt drill bit designed for drilling in stainless and acid-resistant steels, non-ferrous metals and plastics. The set contains two drill bits with a diameter of 2.0 mm.
The addition of cobalt increases hardness and resistance to the high temperatures generated when drilling hard materials. HSS-Co drill bits stay sharp for longer than standard HSS bits, which means more holes can be drilled before sharpening is required.
A 135° point angle provides better centring when starting a hole and reduces the axial forces acting on the drill bit. As a result, drilling is more stable and the risk of the bit slipping across the surface of the material is lower, particularly when working without centre punching.
A small-diameter drill bit intended for precision work, drilling assembly holes, drilling pilot holes before using larger diameters, and tasks requiring accuracy. The small diameter requires careful handling because the bit is more prone to breaking.
The pack contains two drill bits, providing a spare should the first one wear out or become damaged. A practical solution for intensive use or work with hard materials, where the risk of breaking a bit is higher.

When drilling stainless steels, a rotational speed of 1200-1800 rpm is recommended for a 2.0 mm diameter. In non-ferrous metals the speed can be increased to 2500-3000 rpm. Using a coolant or lubricant lowers the temperature and extends the life of the drill bit.
Before starting to drill, it is worth centre punching the position of the hole, particularly on smooth surfaces. The drill bit should be held perpendicular to the surface of the material, without excessive pressure. When drilling deep holes, it is worth withdrawing the bit periodically to clear swarf.
Drill bits should be stored in a dry place, protected from moisture and mechanical damage. It is recommended to use dedicated cases or holders that protect the cutting edges from becoming blunt. Avoid contact with other tools that could damage the cutting edges.
