Impact socket designed for fitting and removing wheel hub nuts on motor vehicles. Its chrome molybdenum steel construction provides resistance to dynamic loads when used with pneumatic and electric impact wrenches.
The 1/2" (12.7 mm) size is the standard in workshop tools. It is compatible with most pneumatic and electric impact wrenches and torque wrenches used in vehicle workshops.
The 52 mm size matches the hub nuts widely used on cars and vans. Before buying, check the nut size on your specific vehicle model, as manufacturers use various standards (from 17 mm to 36 mm depending on the vehicle type).

Before buying, check the hub nut size on your specific vehicle model. The 52 mm size is not universal - manufacturers use different standards depending on the vehicle type, weight and suspension design. You can check the size with a vernier calliper or a socket.
Impact sockets must be used with the appropriate drive tools. Pneumatic and electric impact wrenches generate impulse loads, which the design of an impact socket is built to withstand. Using impact sockets with a hand ratchet at very high torque is not recommended.
The phosphate surface treatment provides basic protection against corrosion.
