A hexagonal socket with VDE insulation, designed for work on live electrical equipment and installations. Made from chrome vanadium steel (CrV) and fitted with certified dielectric insulation rated to 1000V AC.
Features of the VDE insulated socket
VDE dielectric insulation up to 1000V AC
A certified insulating coating that meets the VDE standard protects against electric shock when working on electrical installations with AC voltages up to 1000 volts. The insulation covers the entire socket body, leaving only the working tip exposed.
Chrome vanadium CrV steel
The CrV (chrome vanadium) material combines hardness with resistance to mechanical wear. This alloy offers increased torsional strength and low susceptibility to deformation, which translates into a long tool life under intensive use.
6-point hexagonal profile
The internal six-point profile distributes the clamping force across six points of contact with the bolt or nut, minimising the risk of damaging the edges of the fastener. This design provides better torque transmission than 12-point profiles.
