KD683 Inverter Generator – 1.2 kW / 1.3 kW
The KD683 is a petrol inverter generator with a 2.5 kW single-cylinder OHV engine that delivers a stable 230 V AC supply. Thanks to its inverter technology it is suitable for powering electronic devices that are sensitive to voltage and frequency fluctuations. Weighing 9.3 kg, it can be carried by one person and used in the field, on camping trips or as an emergency power source.

Inverter technology
An inverter generator produces power with a total harmonic distortion (THD) below the levels acceptable for consumer electronics. This means computers, televisions, audio equipment and home entertainment devices can be powered without risking damage to their sensitive power circuits — unlike conventional synchronous generators.
Intelligent speed control and ECO mode
A microprocessor-controlled throttle adjusts engine speed to the current power draw. Under light loads the engine runs more slowly, using less fuel and producing less noise. ECO mode activates this function manually, which is useful for prolonged operation at low load, for example when charging devices overnight.
Air-cooled OHV engine
The OHV (overhead valve) design provides better cylinder filling with the fuel-air mixture and a higher compression ratio than side-valve engines. This translates into greater efficiency for the same displacement and a longer engine life under regular use.
DC outputs and USB port
Alongside the 230 V AC socket, the generator offers a 12 V / 4.1 A DC output (for example for charging batteries via clips with a car cigarette lighter plug) and USB ports rated 5 V / 1 A and 2 A for charging smartphones and other mobile devices directly, with no need for additional power adaptors.
Protection and indicators
The generator is fitted with overload and thermal protection, which safeguard both the generator and any connected devices. Oil level, output voltage and overload indicators allow the operating status to be monitored continuously without switching the unit off. If the oil runs out, the engine shuts down automatically, preventing damage.

Use and maintenance
Before the first start, check the engine oil level and top it up to the required mark — the generator is not supplied filled with oil. Use unleaded petrol with an octane rating of at least 92. The 2.1 L tank provides approx. 4.1 hours of operation at rated load — actual run time depends on the load and may be longer when using ECO mode.
Because of exhaust emissions, the generator must only be used outdoors or in well-ventilated spaces. Regular oil changes (approx. every 50 hours of operation or as specified in the manual) and cleaning of the air filter extend engine life. A spark plug spanner and screwdriver are supplied for basic servicing work.
