KRAFT&DELE KD10056 Injector Seat Cleaning Cutters
A set of four cutters designed for the mechanical removal of carbon deposits from diesel injector seats. The tools allow the seat face to be resurfaced, which is essential for the injector sealing washer to seat tightly and to prevent the seat from burning out in the cylinder head.

Injector seat decarbonisation
Carbon deposits that build up in the injector seat prevent the sealing washer from seating correctly. The cutters mechanically remove the burnt layer, restoring the seat geometry required by the vehicle manufacturer.
Preventing seat burn-out
A poor seal where the injector meets the cylinder head allows hot exhaust gases to escape, gradually burning away the cylinder head metal. Resurfacing the seat before fitting a new injector eliminates this risk and protects the engine block from costly damage.
Four cutter geometries
The set contains three straight cutters in different sizes and a 120° conical cutter. The range of angles and diameters allows the tool to be matched to a particular seat design — different diesel engine models may require a different machining profile.
Steel with enhanced wear resistance
The material used for the cutters has sufficient hardness to machine carbon deposits and oxidised metal layers without the cutting edge rapidly dulling under typical workshop conditions.

Choosing the right cutter for the injector seat
Before starting work, identify the injector seat dimensions for the specific engine. Seat diameter and depth vary between engine manufacturers and models. The straight cutter is used to clean the cylindrical part of the seat, while the 120° conical cutter is used to machine the chamfer on which the sealing washer sits. The extension supplied with the set allows work on engines with deeper recessed seats, where a standard holder does not provide sufficient reach.
Use and maintenance
The cutters are designed for use with a drill or drill driver with torque control — hand use is possible but less effective on hard deposits. Low speeds are recommended to avoid removing too much material from the seat. Once cleaning is complete, the seat should be thoroughly vacuumed or blown out with compressed air to remove any remaining carbon deposits and metal swarf that could otherwise enter the combustion chamber. After use, the cutters should be cleaned and stored in the supplied case, protecting the cutting edges from damage.
