The KD1595 is a medium-hardness foam polishing pad designed to be fitted to angle polishers and angle grinders with an M14 thread. Its 28 kg/m³ density places it between the soft and the firm variants, making it suitable both for final polishing and for spreading medium-cut polishing compounds.
Product characteristics
28 kg/m³ density — medium firmness
The density rating of the foam determines its density and firmness. A value of 28 kg/m³ means a material with moderate resilience — firmer than the red variant (22 kg/m³) and the yellow one (25 kg/m³), but softer than the black (30 kg/m³). This balance makes it possible to work the compound precisely without the pad sinking excessively into surface irregularities.
M14 thread — the angle polisher standard
The M14 thread is a common standard on workshop- and semi-professional-grade angle polishers and rotary grinders. Check the spindle of your machine before buying — most 150 mm polishers are fitted with an M14 thread.
150 mm diameter — working range
150 mm pads are most commonly used on rotary and dual-action polishers for work on flat and slightly curved surfaces. They provide good contact with the surface while maintaining control over the pressure applied.
Colour as a firmness indicator

Choosing pad firmness for the task
Soft pads (lower density) conform better to curves and are used for the final gloss. Firmer pads (higher density) remove scratches and paint defects more effectively when used with cutting compounds. The white 28 kg/m³ pad works well for the intermediate stages — after correction with a firm pad and before final finishing with a soft one.
