M8 steel rivet nuts are fasteners that create a durable threaded joint in materials where a conventional thread cannot be cut. The set contains 20 rivet nuts with a knurled cylindrical flange, designed for installation in sheet metal and profiles.
Characteristics of M8 rivet nuts
Metric M8 thread
The M8 size denotes an external thread diameter of 8 mm. The rivet nut is compatible with M8 bolts and screws with a standard thread pitch of 1.25 mm. Checking compatibility means matching the bolt diameter to the thread diameter of the nut.
Knurled cylindrical flange
The knurling on the flange surface prevents the rivet nut from turning while the bolt is tightened. The ribs bite into the base material, stabilising the joint and removing the need for additional locking devices.
Steel construction
Structural steel provides the mechanical strength of the joint and resistance to dynamic loads. The material allows the bolt to be tightened and loosened repeatedly without damaging the rivet nut thread.
Riveting installation

Checking compatibility

Use and maintenance
Installing rivet nuts requires a rivet nut tool matched to the M8 size. During installation, make sure that the flange sits evenly against the surface of the material. The riveting process should be carried out in one smooth movement, without interrupting the compression.
Once installed, the rivet nut forms a permanent joint that requires no maintenance. The internal thread can be used repeatedly with M8 bolts. For installation in materials exposed to corrosion, galvanised or stainless steel bolts are recommended.
Rivet nuts can only be removed by drilling them out, which destroys the component. For this reason, the mounting location should be planned carefully before installation.
