A magnetic bit holder sits between the tool's shank and the screwdriver bit. Model YT-1515 is fitted with a magnet that holds the screw steady while driving, eliminating the risk of it slipping off the bit.
The 1/4" (6.35 mm) standard ensures compatibility with most cordless drill drivers, drills and screwdriver bits on the market. The hex shank sits securely in the tool's holder with no risk of turning during use.
A built-in neodymium magnet holds the screw in line with the axis of the bit holder. This removes the need to steady the screw with your other hand, which speeds up work, particularly in confined spaces or when fixing overhead.
CRV 6150 offers increased resistance to twisting and wear. The chrome vanadium alloy retains its mechanical properties even under heavy use, which translates into a longer service life in workshop conditions.
The 48 mm length strikes a balance between reach and stable guidance of the screw. The bit holder extends the overall length of the tool-bit-screw assembly, allowing work in recesses and mounting holes without the need for extensions.

The bit holder works with all standard 1/4" hex bits. Slotted, cross-head (PH, PZ), hex (HEX), Torx (TORX) and specialist security profiles can all be used. Before buying, check that your drill driver has a 1/4" quick-change chuck or a drill chuck with a clamping range that covers 6.35 mm.
Push the magnetic bit holder fully into the tool's chuck, making sure the quick-change mechanism locks properly. While working, the screw is held by magnetic force, but in a horizontal position or with heavier screws it may need to be supported by hand until driving begins.
After use, it is worth clearing accumulated metal swarf and dust from the magnetic surface. The sandblasted finish does not require additional lubrication. If the magnetic force weakens, check whether the magnet has been mechanically damaged by a drop or excessive torsional load.
The bit holder transfers the torque produced by the drill driver to the screwdriver bit. For standard domestic and workshop applications, the strength of the CRV 6150 material is sufficient. When working with impact drivers or at very high torque levels, the bit holder should be checked for deformation of the hex shank.
