A magnetic aid for positioning and holding metal components during welding, soldering and assembly. It allows parts to be set at the three most commonly used working angles.
Ceramic permanent magnets generate a magnetic field strong enough to hold components with a combined weight of up to 34 kg. The pull force ensures stable positioning of sheet metal, profiles and bars during welding work without the need for additional clamps.
The clamp allows components to be set at 45°, 90° and 135° – standard values used in welded structures, frames and assembly joints. Each angle is marked on the body, which removes the need for a protractor on typical jobs.
The 46 mm diameter inner hole allows pipes, round bars and other cylindrical components to be secured. A useful feature when welding tubular structures, railings and bicycle frames, and when soldering pipework.
The body is made from steel sheet protected with powder coating. The coating protects against corrosion and chipping in workshop conditions, increases resistance to high temperatures in the welding zone and makes contaminants easier to remove.

Ferrite magnets built into the body generate a permanent magnetic field that attracts ferromagnetic components (carbon steel, ferritic stainless steel). Once the clamp is placed against the metal workpiece, the magnets hold it in the set position, freeing up the welder's hands. The magnetic force works through a layer of paint and mill scale up to about 2 mm thick.
Before starting work, clean the contact surfaces of dirt, grease and loose mill scale – this increases the magnetic pull. Place the clamp against the components so that the working edges corresponding to the selected angle are in contact with the parts. After welding, wait for the structure to cool before removing the clamp.
Ferrite magnets lose their magnetic properties above 450°C – avoid direct contact between the clamp and the welding arc or hot material. When work is finished, remove welding spatter with a wire brush. Storing in a dry place prevents corrosion of the working surfaces.
The 34 kg holding capacity refers to the pull force under conditions of full contact between the magnetic surfaces and clean steel at least 10 mm thick. In practice, the actual force depends on material thickness, surface quality, the presence of coatings and the distance between the magnets and the workpiece. When welding thin sheet (below 3 mm), the holding force may be lower.
