A versatile workshop tool for removing oil filters from various types of vehicle. The strap system ensures a secure grip on housings from 55 to 200 mm in diameter.
Adjustment from 55 to 200 mm in diameter allows you to work on filters in cars, light commercial vehicles, lorries, and construction and agricultural machinery. One wrench replaces several fixed-size tools.
The 20 mm wide strap spreads the force over a larger area of the filter housing, minimising the risk of deforming it. The design allows work in confined installation spaces.
The 12-inch (approximately 305 mm) size provides sufficient leverage to break the tightening torque of the filter. This length works well in most engine installation configurations.
The metal frame and reinforced strap withstand the loads involved when removing seized filters. Materials selected for repeated use in workshop conditions.

The strap should be placed around the filter housing and tightened with the adjustment mechanism. The direction in which the strap is fitted should match the direction of removal (right to left). Apply force evenly, avoiding jerks that could damage the filter mounting.
After each use, clean the strap of oil and dirt. The adjustment mechanism requires periodic lubrication, particularly with intensive use. Check the strap for cracks and excessive wear.
Before buying, it is worth measuring the diameter of the filters most frequently handled in the workshop. Filters on cars are typically in the 65-95 mm range, on lorries 95-140 mm, and on construction machinery they can reach 150-200 mm.
