Kraft&Dele KD3120 Portable Generator – 3 kW / 3.3 kW, 4-Stroke OHV Engine
The KD3120 is a single-phase portable generator with a 220–230 V output, designed for use where there is no access to mains power. Its open frame design with a petrol OHV engine provides independent power on construction sites, allotments and campsites, as well as an emergency power source for the home.
Technical features
4-Stroke OHV Engine
An OHV (Over Head Valve) valvetrain with valves in the cylinder head ensures better fuel combustion and more stable operation under load compared to OHV engines with valves in the block. This translates into a more consistent output voltage when powering electrical equipment.
Open Frame Design
The open frame without an enclosure reduces the overall weight of the generator and provides easier access to components during servicing. The supplied transport wheels allow the unit to be moved across the ground without having to lift it.
Voltmeter and 12 V Output
The built-in voltmeter provides a continuous reading of the voltage generated by the unit without the need for external meters. The 12 V DC output is used to charge car batteries or power low-voltage devices directly from the generator.
Low Oil Level Sensor
The sensor automatically stops the engine if the oil level drops below the safe minimum. This protection prevents the power unit from running dry, which could cause permanent engine damage.
Vibration Damping
Rubber engine mounts and stabilisers reduce the transfer of vibration to the frame and the ground. At a noise level of 68 dBA, the generator falls within the range that allows it to be operated near a workstation without hearing protection being required at all times — although for prolonged exposure its use is recommended in accordance with health and safety regulations.

Use and maintenance
The 4-stroke engine requires engine oil (not a fuel-oil mixture as in 2-stroke engines). Before the first start-up and before every working session, check the oil level with the dipstick — the sensor is a safety backup, not a substitute for regular checks. The oil should be changed according to the schedule given in the operating manual, usually after the first 20 hours of operation and then every 50–100 hours.
An open frame generator does not have a soundproof enclosure, so it must not be used in enclosed spaces or near building ventilation openings — a petrol engine emits carbon monoxide. The unit is intended for outdoor use only.
When storing the unit for extended periods (over 30 days), it is advisable to drain the fuel tank or use a fuel stabiliser to prevent resin deposits forming in the carburettor.
