Professional timing tool kit for locking and setting the valve timing on petrol engines from the PSA group and MINI/BMW. The 10-piece set in a carry case allows precise TDC (Top Dead Centre) setting and camshaft locking when replacing a timing belt or timing chain.
The kit contains all the locking tools and pins needed to work on the timing systems of Citroën, Peugeot, MINI and BMW petrol engines. There is no need to buy additional tools when servicing the timing system.
The dedicated locking tools hold the camshaft and crankshaft securely at TDC. This prevents the timing from jumping a tooth during reassembly, which could otherwise cause piston-to-valve contact.
The tools are stored in a durable case with moulded recesses. Every tool has its own place, which makes identification easier and prevents loss during work or transport.
The locking tools are made from hardened tool steel and retain their dimensions and mechanical strength through repeated use. Their wear resistance extends the service life of the kit in workshop conditions.

Before starting work, check that the kit contains the correct locking tools for the specific engine model. Compatibility depends on the type of engine, its capacity and the vehicle's year of production. Detailed information on supported models can be found in the instructions supplied with the kit or in the vehicle manufacturer's technical documentation.
Before first use, check that the kit is complete and that each tool is in good condition. The locking tools must fit the openings in the camshafts and timing wheels exactly – play or too tight a fit may prevent correct setting.
When using the kit, always apply the correct tightening torque to the bolts securing the locking tools. Excessive force can damage the threads in the engine or distort the tools. Once work is finished, clean all the tools of oil and contamination and return them to their designated places in the case.
Regular maintenance includes checking the condition of the working surfaces of the locking tools and inspecting them for cracks or distortion. Damaged parts must be replaced before further use in order to ensure safe, precise work.
