Rectangular sanding sheets with hook and loop backing and P120 grit, designed for orbital sanders. The aluminium oxide abrasive delivers durability when sanding wood, metal and paint.
Sanding sheet characteristics
P120 Grit – Versatile Sanding
The P120 grit corresponds to an average grain size of approximately 125 micrometres. It removes medium-sized imperfections, prepares surfaces for lacquering and smooths wood after working with coarser grits. It is an intermediate step before final surface finishing.
Aluminium Oxide as the Abrasive
Fused aluminium oxide has high hardness and excellent wear resistance. Its grains fracture during use, exposing fresh sharp cutting edges, which extends the life of the sheet. It performs well on hardwoods, non-ferrous metals and unhardened steel.
Hook and Loop Attachment with 8 Dust Holes
The hook and loop system allows the sheet to be changed quickly without tools. The eight dust extraction holes across the surface align with the sander's extraction system, reducing dust in the workplace and preventing the abrasive from clogging.
Rectangular Format 90 x 187 mm
These dimensions match the standard backing pad of rectangular orbital sanders. Before buying, please check compatibility with your sander model – the sheet fits machines with an identically sized backing pad, including the YATO YT-82230.

How to check compatibility with your sander
Measure the backing pad of your sander – the length and width must match the sheet dimensions (90 x 187 mm). Check the layout of the dust extraction holes – the eight holes in the sheet must align with the holes in the sander's pad. For YATO sanders, the YT-82230 model is directly compatible with this sheet.
Use and maintenance
Before starting work, make sure the sander's backing pad is clean and dry – dirt and debris can weaken the hook and loop grip. Fit the sanding sheet evenly across the whole pad, pressing from the centre outwards to the edges.
During sanding, apply moderate pressure – excessive pressure shortens the life of the sheet and reduces the quality of the finish. Check the condition of the abrasive regularly – once the sheet no longer removes material effectively, it needs replacing.
After use, clean dust from the sheet with a brush or compressed air, which can extend its life for the next use. Store unused sheets in a dry place, away from sources of moisture.
Grit sequence for multi-stage sanding
For work requiring several sanding stages, P120 grit is used after coarser sheets (P60-P80) and before final finishing grits (P180-P240). Skipping more than one grit can leave scratches that are difficult to remove at later stages.
