A core drill bit extension that allows holes to be drilled to a depth beyond the standard capacity of the drill. Fitted with a pilot drill bit for stability during use.
Key features
SDS MAX shank system
The SDS MAX shank is a standard used on professional hammer drills and demolition hammers. It provides a secure connection and transmits high torque and impact forces. The shank diameter is 18 mm, which ensures stability when drilling deep holes.
Pilot drill bit
The integrated pilot drill bit prevents the core drill bit from wandering sideways during use. This keeps the hole straight and on the marked line, even at considerable drilling depths. Particularly important when drilling through thick walls.
600 mm length
The 600 mm extension allows holes to be drilled in materials thicker than the reach of standard core drill bits permits. It makes it possible to create service penetrations through structural walls, foundations or floors of increased thickness.
Use with core drill bits
The adapter works with core drill bits fitted with a compatible mounting thread. It allows holes of various diameters to be drilled depending on the core drill bit used – from plumbing installations to ventilation penetrations.

Tool compatibility
The adapter requires a hammer drill or demolition hammer with an SDS MAX shank. Check the shank type in the specification of your tool – SDS MAX is a system used on tools of over 5 kg, designed for heavy drilling and chiselling work.
Use and maintenance
Before starting work, make sure the adapter is correctly seated in the SDS MAX shank – it should be pushed in as far as it will go and locked by the shank mechanism. Tighten the core drill bit onto the adapter thread with sufficient force to prevent it working loose during drilling.
While drilling, keep the drill perpendicular to the surface and apply even pressure. The pilot drill bit will stabilise the position of the core drill bit automatically. When working in hard materials, use water cooling to extend the service life of both the adapter and the core drill bit.
After finishing work, clean the adapter of drilling dust and debris. Check the condition of the pilot drill bit – a worn or damaged bit should be replaced to maintain drilling accuracy. Store the adapter in a dry place, protected from mechanical damage.
