An attachment fitted to a drill that allows sheet metal to be cut accurately without dedicated shears. A solution used in vehicle body shops, when fitting roof coverings and in installation work.
The attachment works with drills with a maximum speed of 3000 rpm. Higher speeds can overheat the blade and damage the mechanism. Check your drill's specification before fitting.
The titanium coating increases the hardness of the blade, reduces friction during cutting and extends tool life. The coating protects against corrosion when working with materials that contain moisture.
Full freedom to set the cutting direction allows both straight cuts and intricate shapes. Left- and right-handed users can work without changing the settings.
The attachment is designed for cutting a range of materials: steel sheet, stainless steel, aluminium, copper, as well as plastics and plywood. Each material has to be within the thickness stated in the specification.
| Model | GEKO G81231 |
| Maximum drill speed | 3000 rpm |
| Steel sheet (maximum thickness) | 1.8 mm |
| Stainless steel sheet (maximum thickness) | 1.2 mm |
| Soft sheet - aluminium, copper (maximum thickness) | 2.0 mm |
| Plastic, plywood (maximum thickness) | 2.0 mm |
| Cutting angle adjustment | 360° |
| Blade coating | titanium |
| Left- and right-handed use | yes |
Use a drill with variable speed control. Avoid hammer drills - the vibration can damage the attachment's mechanism. Recommended working speed: 1500-2500 rpm depending on the material. Lower speeds on harder sheet prevent overheating.
Do not exceed the maximum thicknesses given in the specification. Cutting thicker material quickly blunts the blade and can jam the mechanism. Stainless steel requires more cutting force than steel - use lower speeds.
After use, clean swarf and material residue off the blade. Check sharpness regularly - a blunt blade needs more pressure and reduces cut quality. With intensive use, the blade should be replaced every 6-12 months.
