An axe with a head made from forged carbon steel and a handle built on a fibreglass core. Designed for chopping and splitting wood, both for occasional use and in more demanding applications. The 86 cm handle and the 2 kg head ensure effective transfer of striking force while reducing user fatigue.
Product features
Forged carbon steel with a diamond-ground edge
The cutting edge and the poll are forged, which gives the material a denser structure than cast components. Sharpening with diamond technology produces a highly sharp cutting edge and allows it to be restored to its factory condition during use — without the need to replace the head.
Fibreglass handle with a metal collar
The fibreglass core of the handle is more resistant to longitudinal cracking and breakage than wood, particularly under off-centre strikes. The upper part of the handle is fitted with a metal collar that reinforces the joint with the head, reducing stress at the point of greatest load.
Hot-moulded head assembly
The head is seated in the handle by hot-moulding the fibreglass — the molten material fills the space inside the poll and, once it has set, forms a single, monolithic joint. Specially moulded recesses inside the poll lock the handle in place mechanically, eliminating the risk of the head working loose during use.
Handle outer layer — durability and ergonomics
The outer layer of the handle is made from an oil-resistant, non-slip polymer that also resists scratching. It retains its grip regardless of weather conditions (moisture, frost, high temperatures) and requires no maintenance, unlike wooden handles.
