VOREL 11311 Tape Measure 5 m x 19 mm
Tape measure with a 5-metre steel blade, 19 mm wide, manufactured to Class II accuracy. ABS plastic casing, yellow lacquered blade with a nylon coating to protect it against wear.
Features of the VOREL 11311 tape measure
19 mm steel blade
The 19 mm width gives the blade the stiffness to stand out unsupported over a distance of up to 2 metres. The blade does not bend when extended, which allows vertical and horizontal measurements to be taken single-handed.
Class II accuracy
The Class II accuracy marking (in accordance with the EN standard) defines the maximum permitted measurement error. For a 5-metre length, the error does not exceed ±1.1 mm, which is sufficient for construction and joinery applications.
Nylon coating on the blade
The clear nylon coating protects the millimetre graduations from wear during intensive use. It also protects the blade surface from scratches and corrosion, extending the service life of the tool.
ABS plastic casing
ABS plastic is resistant to impact and to drops from working height. The material retains its properties at temperatures from -20°C to +60°C and does not crack at low temperatures when working outdoors.

Use and maintenance
Sliding measuring hook
The hook at the end of the blade has a designed clearance of approximately 1 mm. During an inside measurement, the hook slides inwards, compensating for its own thickness. For an outside measurement, the hook extends, ensuring an accurate reading in both cases.
Cleaning the blade
The blade should be cleaned periodically of dust and debris with a dry cloth. Do not use solvents or abrasive agents, which may damage the nylon coating and the graduations. After working in damp conditions, wipe the blade dry before retracting it.
Storage
Store in a dry place, away from heat sources and direct sunlight. Avoid storing in rooms with large temperature fluctuations. Before putting the tool away, check that the blade is fully retracted and secured with the lock.
