Tarpaulin 4 x 8 m heavy duty/green GEKO G70324
Protective tarpaulin made from laminated polypropylene with a polyethylene layer on both sides. The three-layer construction provides waterproofing and tear resistance, while the reinforced rope hems strengthen the edges.
Technical characteristics
Three-layer construction
A woven polypropylene core coated with polyethylene on both sides creates a material that resists moisture and punctures. The PE layer provides waterproofing, while the woven PP gives mechanical strength.
80 g/m² weight
The medium weight strikes a balance between flexibility and durability. The material is light enough to handle easily, yet strong enough to cover building materials or garden supplies.
Reinforced rope hems
Edges reinforced with a rope woven into the hem increase tear resistance at the points of greatest stress. This prevents premature damage during securing.
Aluminium eyelets every 1 m
Eyelets at regular intervals allow the tarpaulin to be tensioned evenly and secured with cords or hooks. Aluminium does not rust and remains durable in contact with moisture.

Properties of the PP/PE material
The polypropylene and polyethylene laminate combines the strength of woven fabric with a waterproof surface. The material does not absorb water, which prevents the growth of mould and fungi. Easy to clean – simply rinse with water and detergent. Moderately resistant to UV radiation – with prolonged exposure, replacement every 2–3 seasons is recommended.
Use and maintenance
Before laying out the tarpaulin, check that the surface underneath is free from sharp objects. Secure the tarpaulin through the eyelets, not directly through the material. After use, dry the tarpaulin before folding it away to prevent mould forming in storage. Store in a dry place, away from heat sources.
When securing the tarpaulin in strong wind conditions, use additional fixing points between the eyelets. If an eyelet is torn, it can be repaired with a repair kit or replaced with a new one using an eyelet press.
