A professional 1/2" ratchet torque wrench for the precise tightening of threaded fasteners to a controlled torque. Factory calibrated and designed for applications requiring ±3% accuracy.
The mechanism allows work with both right-hand and left-hand threads. This function is useful for specialist fasteners, such as those in exhaust systems or certain types of bearing, where left-hand locking threads are used.
A dual scale — the main scale and the micro-scale — allows precise torque setting within the 50-330 Nm (36.9-243.5 lbf.ft) range. A locking ring prevents the set parameters from being changed accidentally during use.
The ratchet is made from SCM440 chrome-molybdenum steel with a hardness of 49 HRC. This material offers increased resistance to wear and deformation, which translates into tool durability under intensive use.
The tool is factory calibrated. The manufacturer recommends recalibration after 5,000 operating cycles, or in line with the requirements of your in-house quality control procedures. After use, set the wrench to its lowest value to relieve the spring.

The required tightening torque depends on the thread diameter, the bolt's strength grade (e.g. 8.8, 10.9, 12.9) and the material of the parts being joined. The vehicle or equipment manufacturer specifies these values in the technical documentation. For example, an M12 bolt of grade 10.9 requires 85-105 Nm, whereas the same bolt of grade 8.8 requires only 60-75 Nm.
Before starting work, set the required torque by turning the wrench handle. The value is read from the main scale and the micro-scale. Once the parameters are set, lock the locking ring.
During tightening, the torque wrench emits an audible signal and a noticeable resistance when the set value is reached. This is the signal to stop tightening. Continuing to apply force after the "click" can lead to the torque being exceeded and damage to the joint.
After use, always set the wrench to its lowest value (50 Nm). Storing the tool for long periods with the spring under tension weakens it and leads to a loss of measurement accuracy. This simple step significantly extends the wrench's service life and maintains its calibration.
Store the wrench in a dry place, protected from dust and moisture. The ratchet mechanism requires periodic greasing with lithium grease. Do not use the wrench as an ordinary tool for loosening heavily tightened fasteners — impact wrenches or standard socket wrenches are intended for this purpose.
