Professional electrical installation cable cutters with certified VDE insulation for work at voltages up to 1000V AC. Made from chrome vanadium CrV steel with ergonomic multi-component handles.
Certified dielectric insulation provides protection against electric shock up to 1000V AC. The EN 60900 standard guarantees compliance with the stringent safety requirements for electrical installation tools. Every tool undergoes voltage testing before it leaves the factory.
The cutting jaws are made from CrV steel with increased hardness and wear resistance. The chromium-vanadium alloy enhances mechanical strength and allows repeated cutting of hard copper cables without loss of cutting edge sharpness.
The ergonomic shape with a soft non-slip component reduces hand fatigue during prolonged use. The hard core provides grip stability, while the outer elastomer layer absorbs vibration and prevents slipping even when wearing work gloves.
The blade geometry ensures even cutting of copper and aluminium cables up to 8mm in diameter without crushing the insulation. Chamfered cutting edges allow a clean cut with no need for any additional preparation of the cable end.

The EN 60900 certificate confirms that the tool has passed dielectric tests at 10,000V AC for 3 minutes and has then been approved for work at a working voltage of 1000V AC. The insulation must be resistant to mechanical damage, ageing and extreme temperatures. Always check the condition of the insulation before use — cracks or abrasion disqualify the tool from live working.
Before each use, carry out a visual check of the insulation — cracks, abrasion or discolouration mean the tool must be replaced. Never use cutters with damaged insulation on live installations.
Clean the cutting jaws with a dry cloth after each use. If they are contaminated with grease or adhesive, a solvent that does not degrade the insulation may be used. After cleaning, apply a drop of machine oil to the pivot to lubricate it lightly.
Store the tool in a dry place, away from heat sources. Do not expose it to prolonged temperatures above 70°C — this may cause the insulation to lose its dielectric properties.
In accordance with EN 60900, periodic testing of the dielectric properties at authorised laboratories is recommended, particularly for intensive professional use. The cutters should be withdrawn from service 10 years after the date of manufacture, or sooner if any damage becomes apparent.
