VOREL 72631 4-Way 3m Switched Extension Lead
A domestic extension lead with four earthed sockets and a power switch. The 3-core cable, 3 metres long with a 1.0 mm² cross-section and VV-F insulation, provides a safe power supply for appliances with a combined draw of up to 10A.
Technical features of the extension lead
Four earthed sockets
The earthed Schuko design provides protection against electric shock when connecting Class I appliances such as computers, printers or household appliances. Four devices can be powered simultaneously while staying within the power limit.
Power switch
The illuminated switch lets you cut the power to all connected devices without unplugging the plug from the wall socket. This reduces standby power draw and improves safety when you are away.
3 x 1.0 mm² cable with VV-F insulation
The 1.0 mm² cross-section allows a safe current of up to 10A (approximately 2300W at 230V). VV-F insulation (vinyl-vinyl, flat) is resistant to abrasion and to the typical conditions of use in dry rooms.
3-metre working length
The 3-metre distance between the plug and the sockets lets you arrange devices anywhere within a standard room without the need for additional extension leads. A suitable length for desks, computer workstations and AV setups.

Use and safety
Calculating the load
Before connecting devices, add up their rated power. The 10A limit corresponds to approximately 2300W at a voltage of 230V. Example: computer 300W + monitor 50W + printer 400W + lamp 40W = 790W (a safe load). Avoid connecting high-power heating appliances.
Operating conditions
The extension lead is intended for indoor use in dry rooms. Do not use it in bathrooms, damp cellars or outdoors. VV-F insulation is not designed for continuous exposure to water or UV radiation.
Maintenance
Regularly check the cable and plug for mechanical damage. Do not bend the cable at a sharp angle and do not run it under carpets. Remove dust from the sockets with a soft brush with the power disconnected. Do not attempt to repair a damaged cable yourself.
