A polishing pad designed for use with rotary and dual action polishers fitted with a hook and loop backing. The soft foam allows delicate finishing of painted surfaces without the risk of scratching. The hook and loop attachment means the pad can be changed quickly without tools.
The low firmness of the foam means it exerts even, gentle pressure on the surface. It is used for applying finishing polishes and waxes and for final paint polishing, where gloss rather than aggressive scratch removal is what matters.
The underside of the pad has a hook and loop layer that is compatible with standard polishing pads. This allows the pad to be fitted and removed quickly during use, with no need for tools or unscrewing mounting components.
The 80 mm diameter allows precise work in tighter areas — around trim, door handles or bumpers. The 25 mm height provides enough material to spread polish evenly.
The maximum permissible speed of 5,000 rpm sets the upper limit for safe operation. Exceeding this figure may cause mechanical damage to the pad or make it detach from the backing plate, so the polisher settings must be kept within this limit.

The pad fits polishers fitted with an 80 mm hook and loop backing pad. Before buying, check the diameter of the backing pad on your polisher and make sure the machine can be limited to a maximum speed of 5,000 rpm. This information can be found in the polisher's instruction manual or on the machine's rating plate.
Soft pads are used at the final polishing stage — for applying fine-grade finishing polishes, waxes and protective coatings. Firm or medium pads are intended for removing deeper scratches and dulled paint. Using a soft pad with an aggressive cutting compound may be ineffective because its cutting power is too low.
