A paint brush with mixed bristles, designed for precision painting with oil-based, emulsion and latex paints, as well as varnishes. The construction, with a wooden handle and galvanised steel ferrule, ensures durability during intensive use.
Combining natural bristle with synthetic filament brings together the flexibility of natural bristle and the resilience of synthetic material. Natural bristle picks up and releases paint more effectively, while the synthetic filament increases durability and holds its shape when working with water-based paints. This composition performs well with most commonly used paints.
Beech wood is characterised by its high density and resistance to mechanical damage. The lacquered surface protects the handle from absorbing moisture and paint, making it easier to clean after use. The ergonomic shape provides a secure grip during prolonged painting.
The galvanised steel protects the metal ferrule from corrosion on contact with water-based paints and solvents. The ferrule design prevents the bristles from working loose, which matters when the brush is pressed firmly against the surface being painted.
The 60 mm width strikes a balance between precision and productivity. This size is well suited to painting mouldings, frames and edges, and to work that demands accuracy. The brush is narrow enough for use in confined spaces while still offering a good working surface.

The mixed bristle composition allows use with most paints used in construction. Oil-based and alkyd paints work well with natural bristle, while the synthetic filament prevents the bristles from softening on contact with water-based paints (emulsion, latex). Before first use, it is advisable to dampen the bristles with water when working with water-based paints, or with white spirit when working with oil-based paints.
Before starting to paint, remove loose bristles by rubbing the brush firmly against a clean surface. When working with water-based paints, it is advisable to dampen the bristles slightly with water and remove any excess moisture. This helps the paint to spread evenly and prevents it from drying too quickly in the bristles.
Once you have finished painting, the brush needs to be cleaned thoroughly. Water-based paint is removed with soapy water, whereas oil-based paints require the use of a suitable thinner. Continue cleaning until the liquid running off the bristles is clear. After washing, the brush should dry hanging bristles-down or lying flat.
Store the dry brush in a dry place, lying flat or hung by the handle. Avoiding contact between the bristles and other objects prevents permanent deformation. Storing the brush upright with the bristles down for long periods may lead to the bristles becoming deformed.
