An endless sanding belt for belt sanders, measuring 75 x 533 mm with a P100 grit. The pack contains 5 aluminium oxide belts on a cloth backing, designed for sanding wood, metal and plastics.
P100 grit (grain diameter of approximately 125 μm) strikes a balance between stock removal rate and surface finish quality. It is used for smoothing after working with coarser grits and for preparing surfaces before painting or lacquering.
The cloth backing of the sanding belt combines flexibility with mechanical strength. It conforms to irregular surfaces and edges while resisting tearing during intensive use of the belt sander.
Aluminium oxide grains have a hardness of around 9 on the Mohs scale and are self-sharpening in use. The material performs well when sanding hard and soft woods, non-alloy steel and some plastics.
The 75 x 533 mm size is a standard belt dimension for many popular belt sanders. The endless construction removes the risk of the belt joint failing when running at high speeds. Check the roller dimensions on your sander before buying.

The 75 x 533 mm belt fits belt sanders with rollers at least 75 mm wide and an axle spacing of approximately 533 mm. Check the dimensions against your sander's manual before fitting. Typical models are 600-1000 W machines used in woodworking and metalworking workshops.
Correct belt tension is essential for sanding efficiency - a belt that is too loose slips on the rollers, while one that is too tight accelerates wear on the sander's bearings. Apply even pressure while working, without excessive force, which overheats the abrasive and clogs the grains.
A sanding belt loses its effectiveness once the grains become blunt (signs include longer sanding times, smoke and scorching of the workpiece). Thermal overload shortens belt life - when sanding metal, work in short cycles with breaks to let the belt cool.
When sanding damp or resinous wood, clean the belt more frequently with a rubber cleaning pad. Storing belts in a dry place, away from direct sunlight, prevents degradation of the adhesive bonding the grains to the backing.
Wear safety goggles, an FFP2 dust mask and ear defenders when sanding. Sanding materials containing asbestos or lead, or exotic woods, requires additional respiratory protection. Disconnect the sander from the mains before changing the belt.
